Are You Denying The Truth About Prospecting For Your Business?

Hopefully a few of you will find some challenge in this short post. It doesn't matter if not, this is after all (all cards on the table, nothing hidden) a promotion for our upcoming FREE webinar. So here's the premise:

Never underestimate the power of denial!

It's true in all walks of life, we are, all of us, shutting ourselves off from some fundamental truths. Some of those are 'bigger truths' than others, but the power of denial is everywhere. For some people they think their denial is sustaining their life and lifestyle, all the while denial is insidiously crippling us! We don't want to get to deep here, we will keep it focussed on business, but it's worth considering what we are currently in denial about and how that impacts our life.
 
Back to business... Take one of the biggest truths we buy into and live by every day at Geek:

"If we aren't regularly and consistently prospecting then our business WILL fail."

NEVER, EVER... EVER... STOP PROSPECTING!
You know what? Fundamentally deep down we all know this to be true.

We can't stop prospecting if we want our business to succeed.

And yet so many of us would rather do anything else other than this. We make all sorts of excuses for not doing it. "Being too busy" is a familiar one, being to "important" and "not part of my job" is another, though of course we will deny it!๐Ÿค“ Look, if you are waiting until you really HAVE TO, to refill your funnel then you are getting desperate and, in the words of our Chief Geek and Founder Richard Few:

"Desperationn leads to under-qualification"
All those under-qualified leads and prospects, all those 10 percenters and long shots will eventually clog your funnel and suffocate the life out of your business. It's time we all GOT REAL about prospecting. Now we get it. Often we are putting prospecting off, not because of our ego but because precisely the opposite of that:
 
We lack confidence and consistent success to help fuel our efforts.
 
So let's shine a light on prospecting, let's stop burying it in our 'to-do' lists and lets rock-on and do something about it. Part of our success at Geek has been about always filling our funnel and refining how we do that increase our chances of successfully converting our prospects to customers.
